These photos were taken yesterday. While I was having lunch I saw these flies mating through the kitchen window, obviously I just had to get the camera out and shoot off a few shots. Technically not fantastic as they were all taken handheld with a macro lens, never the less not too bad. I must admit that I have had to do a lot of cleaning up of the background, so I guess I better get the leather out this afternoon and clean the damn windows!

The following 2 images were processed in Photoshop from a sequence of 4 images to give an HDR effect. Both images were given the same HDR processing but the second then had a couple of ‘Artistic’ filters applied.
The camera settings were Canon 5D MkIII, EF 24-105mm f4L IS USM, 1/250, ISO 5000 at 40mm and the apertures were F9 EV+1, F13 EV 0, F16 EV-1 and F18 EV-1.
